| Incorporated in 1921, Ken-Wo Country Club has been challenging the golf community for more than 80 years. Ken-Wo features tree- lined fairways along with tricky greens that require precise shot making. Amongst expert players, Ken-Wo is known as a Thinkers Course. The finishing holes, known as Death Valley, have left many golfers speechless following play and are a must for all golfers to Nova Scotia. Ken-Wo has hosted several championships on both the provincial and national scenes. The 1985 Canadian Junior Girls Championship and the 1996 Canadian Club Championship were held at Ken-Wo. Ken-Wo was also the venue for the 1999 Nova Scotia Amateur Championship; the host of the 2001 Canadian Junior & Juvenile Championships and the 2002 Canadian Ladies Championship. Since 1990, Ken-Wo's doors have been open to several charitable organizations who have hosted events that raised upwards of $500,000, including the 1995 and 1996 Peter Gzowski Literacy Tournaments, and the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
