The Celtic Fonts used on this site come from P22, our favorite web site for imaginative typography. But you might be wondering why we'd use a Celtic font on a Nova Scotia web site... Of course golf, in its present form, can be traced directly back to Scotland. But you may not know that Nova Scotia has a very strong Scottish tradition, for many early settlers to eastern Canada came from Scotland, and their descendants work hard at preserving their heritage. In fact, many Nova Scotians list Gaelic as their second language; we're second — only to Scotland — in that regard. In fact, Nova Scotia is actually a latin phrase meaning New Scotland.

So we thought a Celtic font would be appropriate, and found what we were looking for at P22. The Kells font gave us our logo, but we added a bevy of Kells 'extras' as watermarks on these pages, too. As the font's name suggests, these extras were inspired by the ancient Book of Kells.
